Good value with online booking

I bought Family Day Tickets online for our trip. Booking ahead saved us a fair bit, probably around 15% off the gate price. I'm always looking for ways to save money, and this worked out well. The Underwater Tunnel Experience was pretty cool, and my kids really liked the Seal Sanctuary Access. Overall, I felt like we got a good deal for the money we spent. It was worth the purchase for a family outing.

Smooth visit, no fuss

Bought Child Admission tickets. Used online booking. Easy to get in. The Temple of Fu Manchu was a hit. Took about 4 days for tickets to confirm but it worked. Simple and good.

Always a reliable day out

We've been to Deep Sea World a few times now, and I bought Adult Admission tickets again for a recent visit. It's always a consistent experience. The Amazonia Exhibit looked good, and the main draw, the sharks in the underwater tunnel, were just as impressive as I remembered. Delivery of the e-tickets was instant, which is what I've come to expect. No issues or surprises, which is exactly why we keep coming back. It's a solid choice for a day trip, especially if you've got family visiting.

Hey, I'm a student, do they do any kind of discount if I just show my student ID at the door?

E Eric S. 2 weeks ago
Yep, they totally do! Just flash your student ID when you buy your ticket at the entrance. I did it last month.

They've got student rates, so you should be good. Always worth checking their site too, sometimes online advance booking saves you even more even with a student discount.

Thinking of taking the kids during Easter break, but is it going to be absolutely mobbed? Trying to avoid huge crowds.

L Leah 2 weeks ago
Easter is usually pretty busy, it's one of their peak times. If you can go right when they open or maybe later in the afternoon, it might be a bit better. We went first thing last year and it was okay for an hour or so.

Yeah, any school holiday is going to be packed. We usually go on a weekday during term time if we can swing it, much more chill.

Is buying tickets online actually cheaper, or is it just the same price as at the gate? Don't want to bother if there's no real saving.

B Brian Phillips 2 weeks ago
Definitely cheaper online! I always book that way, usually saves you about 10-20% compared to just showing up. Plus, you skip the ticket queue sometimes.

Yeah, it's cheaper. I think it's to encourage people to book in advance. Don't expect huge savings but every little helps, right?

Looking at doing the shark dive, but I've never dived before. Is it only for certified divers?

H Hannah M. 4 days ago
Nah, they have options for beginners! The Junior Shark Dive and the Shark Encounter don't need you to be a qualified diver. Only the PADI one does. You get some training before the dive.

Nope, you don't need to be PADI certified for all of them. I did the 'Encounter' one and I'm not a diver. They give you all the info and gear you need, it's pretty safe.
